About HCA Florida West Primary Care
Along with our traditional HCA Florida Healthcare practice locations, we also feature expanded academic teaching practices, where board-certified doctors work side by side with resident physicians as part of an elite, teaching medical program called GME. Our goals is to provide exceptional patient care in an academic environment.
GME practice
Resident physicians are part of our Graduate Medical Education (GME) program. These doctors have completed extensive training and education during medical school with a post training license issued by the state of Florida. During residency, these physicians are mentored by tenured doctors, called attending physicians, who provide supervised training and guidance for the clinical development of their chosen specialty.
